One calendar for the kids. Two houses.
Both homes see the same week — school, sport, handovers and the excursion form — without the “did you know about…?” texts. Each parent logs in as themselves, and the board shows who changed what.

The kids move between houses. The information shouldn’t have to.
When the week lives in two heads and a text thread, something always drops: the costume day, the changed training time, the form that was in the other bag. A shared board means both houses are working off the same page.
Whoever adds it, the other house sees it
School events, sport, lessons, appointments and handovers sit on one family board. Each parent has it on their phone, and either house can put a spare tablet on the wall so the kids can check for themselves.

“Since you last looked”
The board tells each parent what changed since they last opened it — so a moved training time doesn’t get lost in a message thread.
Which house, every night
Pick the pattern — week on/week off, 2-2-5-5, 2-2-3 or every other weekend — and every night on the calendar shows which house. Handover days get a ⇄ and the time. Swap a night for holidays in two taps.
The school email only went to one of you? Forward it.
Your family has its own board address. Forward the newsletter or club email and it lands on the board for both houses — one tap makes it an event. No more “you never told me”.
Step-parents and extended family
Family+ adds Our people logins for Nan and other helpers, so whoever’s doing Wednesday pickup sees the same week as both parents.
What a two-house board usually holds.
| On the board | Why both houses need it |
|---|---|
| Handover days and times | Kids know where they’re sleeping; nobody waits at the wrong school gate. |
| School events, excursions, forms | The note in one bag — or the email only one parent got — becomes an event both houses can see. |
| Sport, training and lessons | Changed times show for both houses, not just whoever read the club email. |
| Doctor, dentist and other appointments | Both parents know what’s booked and when. |
| Birthday parties and who’s taking them | The present, the address and the lift are sorted before Saturday. |
| School and public holidays | They load for your city, so holiday plans start from the same dates. |

Questions from separated parents.
Can separated parents share one GetKnowen calendar?
Yes. One parent creates the family as the account holder and invites the other parent. Each of you logs in as yourself and sees the same week of school, sport and handovers.
Can it show which house the kids are at each night?
Yes. Turn on Two houses in Settings, pick week on/week off, 2-2-5-5, 2-2-3, every other weekend or your own fortnight, and set the handover time. Every night on the calendar shows which house, handover days are marked, and the Today screen says where the kids are sleeping tonight.
Can I forward school emails to the board?
Yes. On Family and Family+, your household gets its own private address under Settings. Whichever parent gets the school newsletter or club email forwards it there, it shows on the board under “From your inbox”, and one tap turns it into an event both houses can see.
Does the other parent need to pay?
No. One subscription covers everyone invited to the family. The account holder manages the plan.
Can we see who changed something?
Yes. “Since you last looked” shows each person what changed and who changed it since they last opened the board.
Who can see our family’s board?
Only the people invited to your family. The board is stored in Sydney and never sold or shown to advertisers. Keep personal plans in your own calendar and put on the board what the kids’ week needs.
Is GetKnowen a co-parenting legal communication app?
No. GetKnowen is a family calendar for the day-to-day logistics. It isn’t designed as a legal record or a formal communication service. If your parenting arrangements set out how you must communicate, follow them.
How much does it cost?
14 days of Family+, free. Then Family is A$9.99 a month or Family+ (with Our people logins for Nan, the babysitter and other helpers) is A$14.99 a month. Cancel any time.
